Physics Tips:

Remember, these are just opinions. See Terms of use.

  1. Know the syllabus. Science based subjects are easy in that the syllabus is dot point orientated. Do dot point summaries to cover the syllabus.

  2. Be able to do the calculation questions. Familiarise yourself with the supplied formula and make sure you know how to use them. Maths based questions are easy marks if you can do them.

  3. Know the terminology of physics. In many cases, you might know why something is happening, but if you don't have the terminology correct, explaining it is nearly impossible.

  4. Know which questions appear regularly over HSC exams. Questions such as the Michelson-Morley experiment are common. Find out which questions are common and make sure you know how to answer them. Don't spend excess time on them just in case they don't come up, just make sure you are prepared.
